Approach to Zurich

We flew directly over Paris before beginning our descent into Zurich. It was an experience we'll never forget, seeing the Alps in the distance!

Leaving the USA on Friday was an experience without words. It wasn't exactly real, because we've flown out of Salt Lake City so many times in our lives, and we've always gone back home to Washington. So it hasn't really hit us yet that we are in another country. All we did was board a plane and fly a long ways away. It will probably dawn on us in about a month or so, I think.

Our Room at the MTC

Our room was a mess with all our stuff everywhere! We were only there 11 days and never did quite unpack or get very organized, because we were kept busy from daybreak until bedtime with classes, reading assignments and class assignments the next day! They sure did know how to keep us out of trouble!

Our German Tutor, Anita Kitchen

We lived at the Missionary Training Center in Provo Utah for 11 days and it was really great to learn how to teach the Gospel, what our tasks in Switzerland at the Insitute Outreach Center will be, meet other Senior Couple Missionaries, and continue with our German Language tutor, Anita Kitchen.
